Enrollment does require your acknowledgment and acceptance LWM's policies, including attendance and cancellation policies.
Cancellation
In the event LWM cancels a course for any reason, 100% of tuition will be refunded.

Illness and Cancellation
We are addressing cancellation within 72 hours of course start on a case by case basis. Please contact the LWM office or call 208.274.3596 for options if you are unable to attend class due to illness.
WFA and WFR-Recertification Courses
- Greater than 30 days from the start of course, course tuition will be refunded less a $15.00 admin fee
- 15-29 days from the start of course, 50% of the course tuition will be refunded, the remaining 50% can be transferred to a future course within one calendar year, with a limit of one transfer
- 14 days from the start of course until 5:00pm PT the day before class, no refund will be issued, 50% of the tuition can be transferred to a future course within one calendar year, with a limit of one transfer
- Cancellations/no-shows after 5:00 PT the day before class begins constitute a forfeit of tuition and no refunds or transfers will be issued
WFR Courses
- Greater than 30 days from the start of course, course fees paid will be refunded, less a $30.00 admin fee
- For hybrid courses, regardless of cancellation timing, if physical course materials have already been shipped:
- If materials are returned to the LWM office unused, there is no charge
- If materials have been used or are not returned, an additional $40.00 will be deducted from the refund in addition to the $30.00 admin fee
- 15-29 days from the start of course, the amount of the course deposit will be transferred to another course, any balance paid will be refunded, less a $30.00 admin fee
- For cancellations 14 days or less from the start of course and for no-shows on the first day of class, no refunds or transfers will be issued
- If participation in the in-person component of the hybrid WFR course is denied due to a lack of 100% completion of the required pre-course work, no refunds or transfers will be issued
Age Requirements
Participants must be 16 to attend all Longleaf Wilderness Medicine courses.
Attendance Policies
Students are required to attend all sessions in order to receive certification. Please contact us if you expect to miss any part of the class in order to discuss accommodation options.
