covid-19 updates

Updates

March 4, 2021
Our priority is the ongoing health and safety our our staff, students and communities and we take this responsibility seriously.  As we move forward, decisions regarding in-person courses will be made with this priority in mind.

We are actively monitoring and are making decisions about courses as dictated by public health guidelines.  The information that guides our decisions comes from the CDC, WHO and state health departments in coordination with hosting organizations.

We continue to add courses to our 2021 schedule.  Courses will have limited enrollment and participants required to meet LWM's Classroom Health and Wellness standards in order to participate.  We look forward to welcoming you back to the classroom.

If an in-person course is not an option for you, or you would prefer an online option to refresh your skills, our online courses are designed to ensure that the skills and knowledge you depend on for response are up-to-date.

Online Course Options

We continue to work to ensure that people have access to high quality wilderness medicine education, even when gathering in person is a challenge.  Whether you need to extend your WFR certification or need a first aid course that better meets your recreational activities, Longleaf Wilderness Medicine has an online course option for you.
